3月16日 VerhuizenI have just about gotten everything out of the old apartment into the new apartment.
The boxes are mostly emptied, now it is more a matter of straightening up the mess and clutter. Where to put everything?
My neighbor downstairs has 8 differnt types of birdfeeders hanging from the old oak tree outside my bedroom window.
As the sun rises, I am serenaded by dozens of different types of bird songs. These birds are different than the birds I grew up with in the mid-west. Little, tiny red birds, black birds with red wings, red-headed woodpeckers with white wings...I'm going to have to learn names for all these assorted critters. In the evening, Canada geese and green headed ducks woddle up to eat the cracked corn. The geese are true honkers, letting everyone know that they are walking through the yard, A couple squirrels enjoy tipping a couple of the bird feeders to pour their favorite seeds onto the ground. A pair of young cats, about 9 months old, have a great time trying to stalk the squirrels and birds without any luck in actually catching any. The Canada geese probably weigh twice as much as the cats, but they walk away when the cats arrive. Wild turkeys also hang out around the complex. I don't understand turkey behaviour, so I'm not certain if they are fighting or playing when they twine their necks together and push each other around....
Pictures of the new apartment can be found in the Roseville picture folder.
