Summer in Denver - Biking along Cherry Creek

This is my first summer in Denver Colorado.
I wasn't really aware that temperatures in the 90's (that is 30's for you C folks) was in store for me.  At 9 pm, I went and opened both of the sliding glass doors out onto the balcony, and the windows. I turned on the fans. The next morning at 6 am, it was 60 F outside, however, inside my apartment it was still 78 F.  I think that the brick walls and concrete floor and roof have a lot of thermal mass that holds the heat a long time. Living on the top floor of a 3 1/2 story condominium, and with heat rising doesn't help either.
The Air Conditioner is only powerful enough cool the living room.
I worry about the costs of running the airco, but maybe I need to start sleeping on the futon in the living room so I can keep cool...

The Cherry Creek bike trail is only a block away from my apartment.  The trail runs along side of Cherry Creek, and near my apartment, it is the meridian of a 10 lane road. On both sides of the creek, there are 5 lanes of one-way car road named Speer (South) and 1st (North of Cherry Creek).  This bike trail is miles long, however, it is very narrow.  Lots of people have access to this trail as it traverses Denver.

I have taken photos while on the bike trail over the last several weekends which are now posted in my Photos area.  I hope that you enjoy this view of Denver.
